Linda Thorsen is a software industry veteran with a passion for communicating clearly about companies, products, and services. She consults independently, assisting a range of firms with defining clear and compelling company and product messages and delivering those messages through diverse materials including collateral, white papers, and web content. Ms. Thorsen’s career began with twelve years in software documentation, first as a software technical writer and then as a manager of documentation teams. Developing an interest in business challenges surrounding software products, she later held roles in product management, product marketing, and marketing communications. Ms. Thorsen has spent most of her career as a successful employee of small software companies that focus on products of interest to enterprise IT groups. She has also worked for a marketing consulting firm, a public relations firm, and software-based service firms. Currently her diverse client base includes marketing firms, software companies, and software-based service providers.

Ms. Thorsen holds a B.A. in English Literature from Swarthmore College and an Ed. M. (Master of Education) from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She resides in Malden, Massachusetts.
